Description:
RC5 is a tincture conforming to Rene Caisse's "Essiac" formulation, but including the fifth herb missing from many "Essiac" products.
Contains the usual 4 herbs from Rene Caisse's traditional "Essiac" tea: Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Rhubarb Root and Slippery Elm PLUS the fifth herb Red Clover firs, which Rene Caisse added when it was in season.
RC5 (ie Rene Caisse 5 herb formulation) to distinguish it from "Essiac" products missing this key 5th ingredient.
A more complete extraction of the herbs (and so also a more concentrated product) is possible using an alcoholic tincture rather than using boiling water for the traditional "Essiac" teas.
"Essiac" teas involve time-consuming and messy preparation, whereas RC5 tincture can simply be added to water or fruit juice.
